        On Monday, November 6th the West Boca/Spanish River hockey team lost a heartbreaker to Archbishop McCarthy by a score of 9 to 7. Spanish River’s Joey Lipsich, returned from injury last night after missing the start of the season and in his first game netted a hattrick and an assist. Alex Supran also had a game to remember last night scoring two goals. One of them was an amazing shot from the top of the circle.The team started off the game hot, going up 2 to 0 very quickly, but Archbishop took control after that scoring four unanswered goals. Bring Back Sports Passes

In the years prior to the 2016-2017 school year, the West Boca Athletic Department gave student athletes passes that allowed them to support their peers in other sports without having to pay the  entrance fees. Now, the Athletic Department has called off the student passes, causing many student athletes to be upset that they have to pay to go support other sports. Emily Chaney, a West Boca Cheerleader, said, “Being on the cheer team, you’re expected to go to sports games, and it sucks having to pay to go every time.” Athletes want to be able to support and cheer on their sports teams...

National Championship recap

The National Championship was a battle between Alabama and Georgia- two SEC powerhouses. This highly anticipated matchup lived up to the hype. The first quarter was a defensive battle but Georgia opened the scoring in the second going up 13-0 with a 41 yard field goal, a 27 yard field goal, and a 1 yard touchdown run by Junior Mecole Hardman. Going into half Georgia had all the momentum. Their defense was shutting down sophomore Jalen Hurts and the Alabama offense.
