UF is a highly competitive school in the state of Florida. It was actually declared a “New Ivy” by Forbes. This was the only Florida institution included on the Forbes list. The admission statistics explain themselves with the difficulty of getting in.
Furthermore, they currently have around 50,000 students attending UF! The student population is almost as much as UCF’s (the largest Florida university).
It is truly a beautiful campus that is worth touring if you get the chance.
