On Wednesday, December 11, 2024 the West Boca Band had their annual Winter Concert to end this school year’s semester. The students played well and expertly followed along with their conductor/teacher, Band Director Lawrence Shane. The whole auditorium was filled with an abundance of sound from all the instruments as they blended beautifully. After in-class and after school rehearsals the students arrived the night of their concert ready to play. During this concert the students demonstrated their knowledge of proper articulation, gradual decrescendos and crescendos, and tempo changes. A few of the West Boca students had a solo within their class’ songs to show the hard work and talent that goes into making a performance like Wednesday night successful. The West Boca Band Program is now ready to move on after winter break to their hectic MPA (Music Performance Assessment) and Solo & Ensemble season.
