Born on October 19th, 2008, and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, Kayla is a junior at West Boca and a first-year reporter for The Bullseye. Outside of school, Kayla keeps busy with a variety of passions such as playing guitar, training in taekwondo, and participating in the Police Explorers program. Her dedication to these activities shows her balance between creativity, discipline, and serving her community.
Kayla decided to join The Bullseye to get more involved in the school community, develop her writing skills, and begin exploring photography. She enjoys telling stories, capturing moments, and connecting with others through words and images. After high school, she plans to attend NYU and major in criminology. With a passion for investigative work, she dreams of becoming a detective, blending her major with her natural curiosity and problem-solving skills.
Creativity also plays a significant role in Kayla’s life. She enjoys a wide variety of music, finding inspiration in different genres, and often writes her own songs for guitar in her free time. Music, for her, is both a creative outlet and a way to express emotions that words alone can’t capture.
When not focused on schoolwork or hobbies, Kayla enjoys listening to Billie Eilish and spending time with her brown tabby cat. She also loves to travel, and her dream vacation would be to visit Hawaii. She imagines exploring the beautiful green landscapes, relaxing on beaches, snorkeling among coral reefs, and hiking volcano trails.
Friends describe Kayla as driven, creative, and passionate about learning new things. These qualities will make this year a memorable one at The Bullseye. We are very excited to see what she will accomplish with us this year!
