Winter storms were normal in New York City, but who could have expected the presence of a baby to warm things up? On February 9th, 2011, Diana was born in Morgan Stanley Hospital of Manhattan. She moved to Boca Raton five years ago and filled her soul with sunshine. Diana enjoys spending her time playing volleyball with her teammates and gaining new friendships along the way. Since becoming a freshman at West Boca Raton High School, she has goals to accomplish, like being part of student government, joining the volleyball team, and maintaining good grades.
This is her first year involved in The Bullseye newspaper, but she already brings a diverse background and cultural experience to the student body. Diana joined The Bullseye to improve her writing skills. In the future she plans to take her journalism experience to write cases while practicing human rights law. Diana’s favorite quote is, “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly”(Robert F. Kennedy). Diana is inspired by this quote because it pushes her to work harder to achieve something greater everyday.
Christmas is known to be Diana’s favorite holiday because it’s when she gets to experience everyone being more connected as a family and as a community. She likes to spend her free time reading, swimming, and playing violin. She has been playing violin for almost two years and wants to learn how to play new instruments so she can join the school band. Diana is a food aficionado, she likes to try out new recipes such as creme brulee.
France is one of the most memorable places Diana visited, she was intrigued by people, culture, and architectural buildings. She saw art in many different forms, such as landscapes, food presentation, fashion, and music. When Diana went to the Louvre Museum in Paris, she was fascinated by the sculptures of Egyptian antiques and the iconic painting of the Mona Lisa.
To summarize, Diana is delighted to dedicate her time to journalism. She is thrilled to make new friends with her peers.She is already inspired by her enthusiastic teachers and mentors. Diana plans to make the best out of high school years!
