Apple has introduced a “Live Translation” feature for AirPods, available on the AirPods Pro 3. This never-before-seen feature translates real-time, face-to-face conversations between people speaking different languages. Featuring a new multiport acoustic architecture, the AirPods Pro 3 precisely controls the airflow that carries sound into the ear, “delivering an exceptional spatial listening experience,” says Apple’s Newsroom. This newly developed Apple feature translates speech to the listener’s preferred language; this can be done directly through their AirPods or the translation can be displayed on their iPhone screen. “Live Translation” can be especially helpful for users travelling, so they are able to effectively communicate with others if they are not fluent in the country’s native language.
“With AirPods Pro 3, the most popular headphones take a massive leap forward, providing fantastic sound quality and the world’s best ANC of any in-ear wireless headphones” says John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. The AirPods Pro 3 is available for pre-order now, with accessibility beginning September 19. In addition to Live Translation, the AirPods 3 also provides heart rate sensing and extended battery life, providing greater stability and comfort for even more people.
