Tate’s music connects with her fans through themes of self-discovery, heartbreak, love, complexities of relationships, etc. She first became popular once she started posting self-written songs on YouTube around 2017 (The real OG’s know!). Her mix of music with competitive dancing has really set her apart from others in today’s pop music space.
Onto the actual concert, doors opened at 6:30 PM. Walking into the concert, there was one merch line per floor, which were INCREDIBLY long! But in the end, I got the most amazingly crafted shirt! At 7:30 PM, Zara Larsson (Tate McRae’s opening act) came on. Zara performed many of her top hits, such as Symphony, Never Forget You, Lush Life, and many more, along with new songs from her new album Midnight Sun. After an outstanding performance, there was a brief intermission before Miss Tate McRae arrived on the stage. At around 8:50, the intro began on the large screen. And finally, at 8:55, Tate McRae began her breathtaking performance. She sang many songs from her most recent album, So Close To What, and included a few songs from her past albums: Think Later, Too Young to Be Sad, and I Used to Think I Could Fly. She even surprised her OG fans with her original songs from when she used to write and perform songs on her own YouTube channel under the name createwithtate, which, as we all know, jump-started her music career. The show included the most amazing vocals along with astonishing choreography. Now speaking about choreography, let’s talk about her amazing dancers! Amari, Alex Mateo, Maycee Steele, Findlay McConnell, Bernard L. Bell, and Stevie Lyne, as well as additional dancers like Xolani Lattimore, Jalen Rashad, and Anthony Curley are amongst those who grace the Miss Possessive Tour stage with their stunning dance moves.
The concert was the most amazing experience. If you have the chance to see any of the Miss Possessive Tour shows, you MUST go!
