As the weather slowly gets breezier and is soon to be cooler, we may all come across both old and new fashion trends as we get into the fall season! Fall fashion is a perfect opportunity for people to dress in different patterns, materials, and styles. Florida is known for its bright and sunny weather, which creates a wardrobe for us to dress in more breathable, lighter fabrics. However, fall introduces the chance to layer more comfortably. Mia Fazio, a student here at West Boca mentioned “I enjoy wearing comfortable clothes, and I wish Florida stayed cold long enough to do so.” Whether it may be through knitted sweaters or bohemian-styled cardigans along with denim of your choice, the possibilities are endless!
Not only does the fabric of our clothing options shift, but so does the color palette. In summer, it is common to see vibrant, lighter colors. Meanwhile, fall brings “earthier tones” such as darker shades of orange, yellow, green, and brown.
This autumn, although older styles such as knit tops make their usual comeback, we will also be seeing newer additions of trending styles. As of recently, there has been a growth in popularity of babydoll tops, which resemble more nostalgic styles from the early 2000s. Similarly, bell-bottom jeans and wide-leg pants have been back in style for the upcoming fall season, adding an extra touch of flair to our appearances, even if they are considered throwbacks.
Notable brands that have been seeing an increase in popularity for a rise in fall-inspired collections include Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale, American Eagle, and many more. Through plenty of advertisements and campaigning on social media platforms, excitement is being built as we all expand our closets for the shifting seasons!
