Seniors! Get ahead of the game and apply early action! In case you don’t know what early action is, it’s a way to apply for college early and receive your decisions earlier than regular applicants. Students who apply early action are at a greater advantage since they receive results early and have the potential for higher admission acceptance. Early action applicants also have more time to compare financial aid offers and explore other options.
Some of the first early action deadlines that are approaching are for FAU, UCF, and FSU. The early action deadline for all three schools is October 15th. Applicants need to have the application in by that date in order to qualify for early admission. Students are expected to submit an application, then submit the rest of the materials. What needs to be submitted is what is required by the school. Potentially, your test scores and college essay. In addition to that, certain schools require your “STARS” transcript to also be sent. These materials can be submitted up until a week later, which is October 22nd. Once the full submission is complete, you are done with applying to these schools! Just wait for early action decision day, which rolls around the beginning of December.
Another school with an early action deadline approaching is UF. Their early action deadline is November 1st. The application process is the same as other schools. It is fairly simple, just like a regular application. However, UF does require a “STARS” transcript, test scores, and a college essay. All of these materials are due a week later, on November 8th. Early action applications are expected to receive decisions on January 23, 2026.
Early action applicants, you still have a couple of days to get those applications in! Applying early will result in many benefits for you and your future next year. So don’t waste time and get those applications in!!
