Super Bowl LV Preview

After a wild and unpredictable College Football season, there are some pretty interesting bowl game match ups

This NFL season has been one to remember for both good and bad reasons. During this year there were many competitive teams more than any year before. In fact, the 10-6 Miami Dolphins missed the playoffs! Now that there are only two teams remaining it is time to give them both credit for their seasons.

The NFL was headlined in the spring of 2020 about Tom Brady leaving the Patriots who he belonged with his entire career. He did so to join the Buccaneers, the NFC representative in the Super Bowl. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers history has been irked with failure and underwhelming performance and haven’t had success since their 2002 super-bowl win.

The decision to move onto Tampa is even making those who haven’t believed that Brady was the G.O.A.T. reconsider their beliefs. He has had one of his best seasons yet (aside from his abnormally high amount of interceptions he’s thrown) and has only improved since then. At a point this year the Bucs were 7-5 and many were doubting their ability to make the super-bowl or even the playoffs. In fact, the last time the Bucs lost it was to the Kansas City Chiefs, the teams they’re going to be playing in the super bowl.

It is without a shadow of a doubt that the Bucs have a great team, but the 2020-2021 Chiefs have made their case to repeat their super-bowl victory from last season. The team has a much better defense, Patrick Mahomes is having another great season, rookie running-back Clyde Edwards Helaire is playing like a veteran, and everything seems to be clicking for the 14-2 Chiefs even after Mahomes suffered the neck injury in the Divisional round against the Browns.

In terms of bettors, it is a rare occurrence for Tom Brady to be the underdog heading into a Super Bowl game or really any game in general, but that is exactly what has happened. As of now, the Chiefs are favored to win by three points (by bettors) and many experts back this.

It is easy to pick the Chiefs to win this game after their dominant win over the same team in the regular season. Star wide-receiver on the Chiefs Tyreek Hill had over 200 receiving yards in only the first quarter. Of course, Tom Brady is always resilient and mounted a comeback but ultimately lost 27-24.

In terms of people I know, we all overwhelmingly believe that the Chiefs will win loudly fueled by our bad experiences with Brady as Dolphin’s fans. Even though the majority of people believe that the Bucs and Brady are going to lose, it must be in mind that they are the first team to play in their home stadium for the Super-Bowl. This will provide them extra motivation on top of the motivation they are getting from their doubters.

It is truly a toss up as to who will win this game, as most Super-Bowl’s are, but let us know who you would think is going to win on our website poll!
