Class of 2022 Marks Their Spots

West Boca’s senior parking spot painting tradition lives on as the Class of 2022 came to school this past Saturday to decorate their parking spots. The PTA hosted the painting event Saturday September 18 from 10am to 3pm. Seniors, accompanied by friends and family, created unforgettable memories and amazing works of art.

Painting your parking spot is not an easy task; the Florida heat, unrelenting sun, and attention to detail are not for the faint of heart. However, the sentimental value associated with senior activities makes it all worth it. Fellow students would stop by to help their friends, bring reinforcements, or share supplies; the abundance of school spirit was refreshing compared to last year’s isolation.

Moreover, the tradition gives seniors a chance to bond with their friends and families. The college process can go by in the blink of an eye, and fall semester 2022 will arrive in no time. Parents, cousins, and siblings all came out to help bring seniors’ imagination to the concrete. Cartoons, graffiti, sport’s teams, and countless other themes were portrayed by the Class of 2022. Regardless of the level of artistry, everyone’s parking spot had its own charm. Students were very detailed, some even decorating the parking spot number as well.

Thank you PTA for organizing such a great event that ran seamlessly. Drinks and food were provided to keep everyone energized, and speakers played great music that only made the process more enjoyable. At the end of the day, the PTA announced the big raffle winner and gave everyone a small gift as well. West Boca’s Class of 2022 is fortunate to have a proactive administration that is working hard to provide seniors with all the traditions and events that they deserve!
