The world of scholarships has so much to offer, ironically, its seemingly endless amount of options are what make scholarships so intimidating. From merit-based, need-based, to highly specific demographics, there’s scholarships out there for you and being knowledgeable will help students take advantage of financial aid opportunities.
Eda and Cliff Viner Scholarship
Award four-year scholarships to qualifying high school students in Boca Raton and Delray. This scholarship is need-based and “last dollar”. This means that the scholarship will cover all of the remaining costs, up to 10k per student per year, after the student has exhausted all other means of financial aid that they have access to.
Eligibility:
- At least 3.0 unweighted GPA
- At least 100 hours of community service
- Demonstrated need for financial aid
- Plan to attend a Florida Public University
- Have attended on of the scholarship’s partner high schools
- American Heritage High School, Atlantic Community High School, Boca Raton Community High School, Donna Klein Jewish Academy, Katz Yeshiva High School, Olympic Heights Community High School, Saint John Paul II High School, Spanish River Community High School, Village Academy of Delray, West Boca Raton Community High School
How to Apply:
- Complete the “Student Application” found in the link under “Scholarship Program”
- Upload a copy of FAFSA (to demonstrate need for financial aid)
- Upload SAT/ACT score
- Upload acceptance letter from a FL Public University

Arts For Life!
$1000 scholarships to 25 Florida high school seniors. Founded by Columba Bush, this scholarship opportunity seeks to recognize creativity and excellence in music, drama, writing, dance, and the visual arts–seniors may apply to multiple categories. The application period is from September to February and it consists of an essay about how the arts have played a role in the applicant’s life and a portfolio corresponding to the particular category that the student is competing in.

Jose Marti Scholarship Challenge Grant Fund

This scholarship is need-based and merit; it seeks to recognize eligible applicants, of Hispanic descendance, that are planning to attend a Florida university. In order to be eligible students must submit a Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) before April 1 2022. The scholarship considers Hispanic origin as anyone of Spanish culture, being born in or have a parent from South America, the Caribbean, Central America, or Mexico (applicants from Spain, Haiti, and Brazil will not be considered for the scholarship).
- Academic Requirements: At least 3.0 unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Need Based Requirements: Demonstrate $2000 in financial need through FAFSA on or before May 15, 2022.
- Must be a US Citizen or eligible non citizen and Florida resident.
- Award: $1000 per semester ($2000 per year). Students ranked by need, then GPA, and then by application submission date
- Students are automatically considered for renewal of the scholarship after the first semester, granted they keep the GPA requirements.
HSINTELLIGENCE Minority/ Indigenous Nurse Leadership Scholarship
This scholarship seeks to recognize minority high school students that are interested in becoming nurses.
- Requirements: First-generation student, high school or undergraduate student, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), and student must be interested in nursing.

Create-a-greeting-card-scholarship
- Deadline: March 2, 2022
- Submit a picture of a photo or piece of art to be used on a greeting card to compete for $10,000 and $1000 additionally for your school.
- Requirements: At least 14 years of age, enrolled in high school, college, university, or homeschool.
CFJS Scholarships
- Requirements: Resident of or plant to attend college in Central Florida (Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard Volusia counties), live auditions at Rollins College
- Award can be used for instruments, private lessons, or school costs
- Deadline: March 15, 2022
Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties General Scholarship
- Requirements: High school senior in public or independent high school in Palm Beach or Martin county, exhibit academic merit or financial need, be a prospective full-time college/university student
- Fill out the application to be considered for over 100 scholarships
- Deadline: January 31, 2022
NIADA Foundation Regional Scholarships
- Requirements: High school senior, exhibit merit in the SAT/ACT and academics
- Four winner per year
- Deadline: March 9, 2022
Be Bold Scholarship
- Award: $25,000 (November 30, 2022)

The Armando J. de Moya Scholarship
- Requirements: pursue a bachelor’s degree in civil Engineering at the University of Florida, demonstrate financial need, complete at least 59 credit hours, maintain 3.0 GPA at UF
