West Boca Baseball Defeats Lake Nona in First Round of Regionals

Isaac Edelman, Reporter

West Boca (18-10) took down Lake Nona (19-6) in a tight 3-0 game in the first round of regionals.

James Litman threw a two-hit, complete game shutout against a team averaging 7.5 runs a game.

Tyler Litchenberger and Oxswen Cotto turned four double plays and Matt Pagan made three great plays to complete the shutout.

Tyler led the offense with a 2-for-3, RBI effort. Corey Kling missed a HR by a few feet but the ball was hit deep enough to score Tyler from second for the rare two-base sac fly.

West Boca’s next game will be at Palm Beach Gardens on Friday, May 13th, at 7:00 PM. If the Bulls win, they’ll host the winner of the Palm Beach Central/Park Vista matchup.
