Announcing West Boca’s very own swim team! Both the girls and boys practice regularly at Boca High. Everyone on the team is very excited to introduce themselves!
The team is coached by Dana Nolan and she’s looking forward to seeing our swimmers’ times drop throughout the season. Her goal as a coach is to help each athlete achieve their very best, as well as making sure we have fun!
Let’s shine some light on the team captains: first introducing our senior captains, Rebbecca roldan and Alexander Taus-Nita! Alex’s goal as team captain is to get everyone together, keep traditions alive, and have fun! He has been competitively swimming for close to a decade— making him one of our most experienced swimmers.
Now let’s introduce our underclassmen captains: Emily Watson and Darien Worthington! Emily is a junior year and her goal as captain is to make swimming as enjoyable as possible for everyone. She’s been competitively swimming for around four years and her favorite swimming stroke is freestyle. Some positive feedback she’d like to share is to never give up and always push through! Next up: Darien! Darien is in his sophomore year and his goal as a team captain is to help the team as much as he can. Although Darien has only been competitively swimming for six months, his favorite stroke is breaststroke and some positive feedback he’s like to share is to how much he loves his teammates!
I am so proud to be a part of this amazing team! I have been swimming for West Boca for four years and have had the most wonderful experience. We thank the Coach for doing so much to make this year the most memorable! Come support the West Boca Swim Team!
