HOSA Success

On April 27th, 29 students from West Boca High School went to Orlando to compete in HOSA State competition. State Leadership Convention is where over 3,000 students from all over the state compete in areas of study like Pathophysiology, Nursing, Emergency preparedness, Pharmacy and knowledge tests all regarding medicine.
The west Boca HOSA teams that competed were in the subjects of EMT, CPR/First Aid, CERT Skills, Medical Innovation, Nursing Assistant and Community Awareness.
The following students placed and qualified for Internationals which will be held in June in Orlando.
EMT– 1st Place- Amanda Shelowitz and Victoria Mezzetti
2nd Place- Sabrina Levin and Holly Kappes
3rd Place- Widad Muhammad and Andrea Claxton
Medical Innovation– 1st place- Sharon Green , Betsi Reinoso, and Kaitlyn Bacchus
CPR/First Aid– 1st place- Nick Paolini and Brian Kirsch
