Sofia Irene Sierra was born December 1st, 2006, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but shortly after she was born, she moved to Whitsett, North Carolina. Though her family loved the state of North Carolina and shared admirable memories, they decided to move back to Florida when she was nine years old.
Sofia is a bright student who has big plans for her future. Sofia wants to get her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and later go to medical school. She is the President of the Neuroscience Club and Editor-in-Chief of the Bullseye. She also plans to get her AP diploma and has already received her AICE diploma with merit!
She decided to join Journalism because she thought that it would be a fun class and wanted to improve her writing skills. She has been on the Bullseye for three years and has written many intellectual articles you should definitely check out. They mainly consist of books/movie reviews and relatable student issues. Though she thrives in school, she can balance activities she loves outside of her academic victories. Sofia gives back to the community by volunteering at Sugar Sand Park, a physical therapy center, and babysitting for her neighbors. She also participates in leisure activities, such as playing soccer, tennis, and running track and field for West Boca.
Additionally, Sofia loves to watch shows and movies, which is her favorite activity. She loves to psycho-analyze films and understand their deeper meanings, which explains why she wants to major in psychology. She says that the show that surpasses them all is 9-1-1 on ABC. She is glued to the TV when it is on air, and nothing can convince her to divert her attention. Sofia is very organized and finds a way to balance all her favorite activities to enhance her high school experience. From freshman to senior year, she has had no problems and will continue to be the responsible, intelligent, and bright girl she is.
