Born in Los Teques, Venezuela, Hillary moved to The United States at just 11 years old. She didn’t know any English making her transition even more of a challenge. Throughout her struggles with moving to a whole new country she grew a passion for her education, lending her to becoming a part of the NHS and Spanish Honor Society. After coming to West Boca she decided to join the art club. During her sophomore year she started to take the club more seriously and it led to her becoming President of the art in her Junior year. Unfortunately, this school year the art club was shut down but Hillary is working her way to building it back up.
Hillary is an artist and writer, and already has comics in the making. She is currently working on a psychological horror comic about a man who gets tormented by his past actions. She was a part of the writers club and has posted one of her comics on their website called “The Cave” that is also horror themed. The reason she enjoys making comics is because it helps her put her thoughts on paper and better tell her stories. She hopes to go to PBCC and then FAU to study illustration and creative writing and grow her talent.
Now Hillary is a Senior and it is her first year on the Bullseye Newspaper as a Reporter. She joined the Newspaper to improve her writing skills and play a bigger role in her school. Her favorite music genre is Cold wave and she has a job as a retail worker at Express Clothing in the Boca mall.
