Attention Seniors! Your high school career is coming to an end and there are a few things that you must know as you are finishing up your senior year. There are plenty of huge events coming up and you must stay on top of things.  

First and foremost, all seniors should check in with Ms. Ostrow to ensure that you have no current obligations. If your obligations are not sorted out, you will be held from participating in some school-related activities, walking during graduation, and even retaining your high school transcript. 

Secondly, you are going to want to have your cap and gown ordered ready from herffjones.com. Although there is no immediate rush, it is best to order these in advance and ensure that your cap will be fitted correctly. Herff Jones will still be back at the school for orders or questions on April 13th.

Once obligations are figured out, the first priority would be to also visit Ms. Cannon and give her $150 (cash or check) for your ticket to Gradbash! Gradbash is the trip to Universal on April 21st which leaves at 2:30 p.m. and arrives back at West Boca around 5:30 a.m. the next day. All details on this event are available on the Senior Google Classroom page. 

Following this, the next priority would be to ensure that your prom tickets are purchased and that any plans you have are arranged. Prom is coming up soon on April 14th so it is vital that you are able to make your plans and purchase your tuxedo/dress ahead of time. If you plan on renting instead of purchasing, there are plenty of advertisements around the school of companies that you are able to rent from. 

After prom, you must ensure that all of your FLVS classes are completed by April 30th by midnight or the credit will not be earned.

Finally, graduation is on May 16th at South Florida FairGrounds at 1 pm. You must arrive by 11:45 am before the ceremony begins. West Boca has one of the first graduation dates in Palm Beach County, so make sure you are prepared! Graduation practice is on May 10th 9:00 a.m. in the West Boca Gym. 

There are only a couple months left for us Seniors so we’re almost at the finish line and let’s finish strong!
