This is Luanne Barbosa! Born in Manaus, Brazil, she moved to Florida in 2020. Now she is a senior at West Boca High School and this is her first year on The Bullseye. Luanne is in the newspaper this year to bring awareness to Latino culture and other clubs within our school. She is very excited to publish new and exciting articles in The Bullseye.
Luanne is already quite involved in school activities like NHS, the National English Honors Society, the National Spanish Honor society, the Literary League, the Brazilian Club, and the AP capstone program. She is not only active within her school community, but is also involved within her community as well- volunteering at her Church as a teacher teaching younger kids within her community how to read. She also volunteers at Florence Fuller, assisting teachers with their busy schedules. Despite being a very busy individual, Luanne spends her downtime reading a multitude of books from fantasy to romance. She also indulges in going to the beach in her free time and is learning how to surf.
In the future, Luanne aspires to acquire her undergrad at UCF where she will major in marketing and minor in psychology. Some of her goals for this year include getting into UCF, maintaining straight A’s, completing her AA degree, attaining her AICE and AP diploma, and improving her writing skills which makes her position on The Bullseye all that more exciting!
