Hi! My name is Jackie Vaks and this is my first year writing for the Bullseye. Even though I am a senior, it’s actually my second year in this school. Just last year I moved from Brooklyn, New York to the beautiful suburbs of Boca Raton, Florida. My first year at West Boca Highschool was experienced through a screen, with the ability to mute my teachers whenever I got overwhelmed. It was definitely a hard way to start, but I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I’ve always enjoyed journalism and leaned away from subjects like math and science. Apart from school I love spending time with my family and dog, and I have an after-school job as well. I can’t wait to start writing for the bullseye!
