Recently, math teacher Jacqui Van Dyke and FAU math intern Allisha Franke, have  been working on a project called “ Graphing and Giving.” The two started the project to show students the importance of linking math concepts to real-world situations. It was decided due to the enthusiasm of the classes that it would be a competition. Not only would the winning class be invited to go to Boca Helping Hands Food Pantry, but would win a pizza party!

After five days of collecting, the project has concluded and all classes collectively collected and donated 456 items of canned food  in just under one week, which is 502 pounds of food! Congratulations to all the students who participated, we are very proud of your accomplishments!

Mrs. Van Dyke, Ms. Franke, and our students delivered food at Boca Helping Hands.
