Black Mirror: The New Twilight Zone

Black Mirror: The New Twilight Zone

Black Mirror is a popular British TV show that started in 2011 and is now streamed on Netflix as a “Netflix Original”. It is an anthology series based on the human condition, existentialism, and the dangers of future technology. Many people equate it with the insanely popular show that started in the late 1950s, The Twilight Zone. Every episode involves a completely different story with a different cast. Each story varies in length and subject matter, but recently more people have been interested in the show because of their new interactive, choose-your-own-adventure movie called Bandersnatch. It was released around the same time as another Netflix Original movie called Bird Box which was well-received by the many people who watched it.

Bandersnatch tells the story of a 19-year-old game designer in 1984 creating a game based on a choose-your-own-adventure book called Bandersnatch. And throughout the movie, you make decisions, big and small, for the main character (Stefan).

Other Black Mirror episodes comment on topics like crime, human rights, and relationships. There are a total of 19 episodes spread out amongst four seasons that in some way comment on the individual lives of the audience and make them question the reality around them.
