Yoga is a Hindu and ascetic practice, incorporating elements of breath control, adaptation of specific body postures, meditation and is universally practiced for health and wellness purposes.

Different Styles of Yoga:

  • Hatha Yoga: This type of yoga is meant for all levels, but may be well suited for the beginner practitioners. The general postures are basic and the class progresses at a slow pace. The class will teach you how to breathe, relax, and meditate during class.
  • Vinyasa Yoga: If you are looking for a challenging, dynamic way to practice yoga, this is the method for you. Vinyasa Yoga connects movement to breath. Each posture is connected seamlessly together and creates a dynamic pattern. These classes are very high intensity and can be enjoyed heated or non heated. This class is ideal for active people that enjoy movement to music.
  • Ashtanga Yoga: This type of yoga focuses on improving strength and flexibility, while also improving self control over the body and mind. This is a good practice for those that are up to the challenge due to the demanding postures and sequence throughout the practice.
  • Bikram Yoga: Bikram Yoga is an extremely challenging form of yoga, done through 26 postures in a 100 degree or hotter room. These poses are designed to strengthen the muscles, while also lengthening and improving flexibility. This practice is not meant for the weak of mind or body.

No matter which style of yoga you choose, the benefits are enormous.
