Last Thursday, January 12th, our Girls’ Weightlifting Team competed in their fourth meet of the season. The meet took place at Olympic Heights. The girls gave it their all after coming back from winter break, ultimately coming in 3rd place overall in the Olympic category, as well as 4th in the Traditional category.

The girls competed against Olympic Heights, American Heritage, Park Vista, and Atlantic High.

This meet was a district-style competition, meaning that only two girls from each school could compete in each weight class.

Giuliana Incorvaia, senior, dominated the 129 weight class, accumulating 7 points towards West Boca’s Olympic total. Incorvaia ultimately came in 1st place in her weight class.

These girls are now working harder than ever to prepare for districts. The team is focusing on hitting new PR’s in order to crush the competition. The first district meet will be held on Wednesday, January 25th.
