West Boca´s Medical Academy is a one-of-a-kind program that allows students to dive deep into healthcare education!
Our students in the medical program have various opportunities that range from earning a variety of certifications to getting hands-on experiences. Through a program featuring a complex curriculum, students are also able to take different paths depending on their interests in certain areas of healthcare. These paths include being an Emergency Medical Responder, Medical Lab Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Exercise Science Specialist, or Pharmacy Technician. Mackenzie Whitfield, a student in the medical program, mentions how “the Exercise Science program at West Boca is an amazing opportunity for students to get a look into the personal training aspect within the medical industry“. Mackenzie notes how students can become Certified Personal Trainers right out of high school by having the opportunity to take the NASM exam here at West Boca!
Not to mention, our medical program includes the help of many incredible teachers within the department, including Deana Scroggins, Michelle Lynne, Andrea Claxton, David Martin, Peter Celi, and Rachel Magaletti. Through their dedication to guiding students toward a strong education in healthcare, previous West Boca students have successfully pursued careers in the medical field as doctors, pharmacists, EMTs, and much more.
As previously mentioned, our West Boca Medical Academy provides students with the opportunity to go to hospitals and other health care facilities, such as the West Boca Medical Center and Walgreens to gain advanced experience.
To further enhance professional experience in different fields, West Boca´s medical program also offers certifications to be a Pharmacy Technician (Ptcb), Emergency Medical Responder (EMT), Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT), and more.
