On January 17th, AT&T hosted their Playlist playoffs for 2026. It took place at Lummus Park on Miami Beach, FL. The event was sponsored by AT&T, which made the event completely free. The event featured three big DJs, including John Summit, Calvin Harris, and Xandra.
Since the concert was free, over 30,000 people attended. People from all over the country flew to this event solely for the purpose of seeing these big DJ’s perform for free. You can only imagine the chaos that happened. The gates opened at 6:00 pm. So many people were in line, this caused people to be trapped, overheated, and trampled. Once everyone got through, they made their way toward the front of the stage. Xandra started playing at around 6:30. I personally wasn’t there at that time, so I couldn’t hear her set. But from what I have heard, it was amazing!
I arrived at around 8:00 pm. There was no struggle to get in, just a lot of walking since we were late. My friends and I still managed to get a good view. John Summit started his set at 8:00 pm. It was awesome! Good vibes and energy all around! He played songs such as Crystalized, Shiver, Where You Are, etc.
John Summit’s set ended at around 10:00 pm. There was a 30-minute intermission before Calvin Harris went on. During this time, AT&T started one of its giveaways. A couple of lucky winners had the opportunity to win a free phone plan and signed merch by the artists. There was also a super cool drone show playing during the intermission. It included many football-related drone images, since the concert was being hosted as an event for the playoffs between UMiami and Indiana.
At around 10:45 p.m, Calvin Harris performed. He played some of his hit songs like Feel So Close, Blessings, Summer, and more. It was like a movie, with lights flashing everywhere, everyone dancing, and memories being made. It was amazing!
The event ended at around 11:00 pm. Traffic at the time was crazy! But with all the chaos aside, it surely was such a great time! AT&T even hosted a second concert the following night on the 18th. Artists such as Peso Peluma, Latin Mafia, and Alvaro Diaz performed.
