Calling all matcha lovers!! Do you love matcha but aren’t sure where is the best spot to buy some? No worries, I’ve got you covered! I’ll list spots that are cheaper than others, tastier than others, more bitter, more sweet, but I’ll give my honest opinions on which is better!
To start, we have Starbucks. Starbucks is found mainly everywhere so you can stop by whenever you see one in the area. Now to be honest, I have been a big fan of starbucks matcha for quite some time. It is sweet, the right amount of matcha to milk ratio. It also doesn’t taste like grass! With cold foam on top it is delicious! Starbucks also allows you to fully customize your matcha to your liking. You can include different syrups, drizzles, cold foams, etc. However, since their recipe changed, it hasn’t been as good, but still yummy. I rate starbucks matcha an 8/10.
Next up, we have Cali Coffee. Cali Coffee is a little bit far locally since it’s in Coral Springs, but it’s worth it. Now they only offer drive-thru, which is unfortunate, so some points taken off for that. However, their matcha is so good! It’s not too sweet, which is perfect. Cold foam is perfectly frothy. The matcha flavor is there, so it doesn’t taste too milky. They offer different flavors you can add into the matcha, in case you want to change it up a bit. Genuinely such good matcha! I definitely recommend you try Cali Coffee matcha. I rate Cali Coffee matcha a 9/10.
Continuing, we have The Seed. The Seed is located on Palmetto or another nearby one is in Delray on Atlantic Ave. Their matcha isn’t as sweet as the others. It is definitely more earthy as well. Their milk-to-matcha ratio is pretty good. They do have different yummy flavors. Their cold foam is good, but nothing special. The matcha is pretty good. I rate The Seed matcha a 7/10.
To sum it up, Cali Coffee is personally my favorite place to get matcha! This is just by preference; others may disagree with me in taste. Everyone has their own preference!
