Introducing… Mr. David Martin! Mr. Martin is yet another one of our newest additions to the West Boca High staff! This year he is teaching Health Science, Anatomy & Physiology, and Exercise Science.

Mr. Martin’s background stems from 13 years of nutrition coaching alongside personal training in both private and corporate settings. He attended Florida State University for his undergraduate degree, and finished up at University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Exercise Science. After this, he received his Master’s Degree in Sports Performance from the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.

Before coming to West Boca High, he taught clients of all age groups how to carefully and properly exercise. He has also placed a large amount of his focus into nutrition, which he believes to be one of the most important contributing factors on our health and body composition.

He is interested in anything involving sports nutrition, weight-training, and self-study of theology.

This is Mr. Martin’s first year teaching in a school setting. When asked about what he is most excited about for this school year, he said, “My goal is to establish a well-rounded understanding of the human body and how it functions whether they want to pursue something in the medical field or within the umbrella of sports medicine.” He added, “I feel honored and blessed to be able to share my real world experience with the students.

On behalf of The Bullseye staff and West Boca High, Welcome Mr. Martin!

Hi! My name is Olivia Eberhardt. I am a Senior at West Boca High School, and this is my second year on The Bullseye. My favorite things to write about are pop culture events and fitness. I am on the Girls’ Weightlifting team, and one of my favorite things is going to the gym. I was born in Asheville, North Carolina, and have lived in Florida for about nine years now. In the future, I hope to go to college and major in Political Science, as well as go to law school. I can’t wait for the year ahead!
