Wow! What a fun performance! This weekend the performing arts academy once again showcased their amazing talent with its first performance of the year, Murder at the Malt Shop. As someone who has seen their previous shows, it’s safe to say they are keeping their streak of great performances!
This performance wasn’t just a show, but a whole experience. The 50’s themed play provided the audience during the intermission, with coffee, ice cream

floats, burgers, and hot dogs, all to add on to the retro diner experience, while every staff member was rockin their decade outfits. During the break, the audience members also voted on who they thought the killer was, since it was an interactive murder mystery.
The costumes, set design, sound, and acting all blended to transport the audience back to the 50s and creep in the mystery atmosphere! Audience member and student, Lara De Castro said, “The acting, the energy, the mystery, everything was incredible. I still can’t believe how interactive it was! It felt like I was part of the story.”

The show was directed by the new drama teacher, Mr. Quinn, and the interim director, Mrs. Crout. The show starred Eytan Whiting, Mila Freiheit, Kamille Alfai, and many more. It was a fun and humorous story, and it was great to see the students work together to provide such a unique experience for our community.
If you haven’t seen a West Boca performance yet, be sure to catch them in their next one, so once they make it to Broadway, you can say you saw them before the fame!
